Good:

The area and the beach are amazing. Never seen anything like this.

Many (free) water activities (wakeboard, waterski, etc..

Breakfast is excellent

Beds are comfortable

(Free) crepes in the afternoon. They also have cakes for 2-3 , reasonable price.

(Free) water with flavors along the beach during the whole day

2 pools with warm water

Friendly staff (water activities staff not so much, subcontracted)

Rooms are decent

Hotel is not crowded

There s a restaurant next to the hotel with more adjusted prices where you can have lunch for 5-10 /person. Simple but very good food. But it s only open during lunch time

Amazing sea life on the beach, great for snorkel

The attention to details is impressive, everything is well organized.

Bad:

Not much pressure/hot water during peak times

Staff sometimes too friendly

Some staff speaks not loudly enough, joint with an english with strong French accent, they re not easy to understand

There are only 2 restaurants: the quantities of the portions are not big, an average meal costs 20 and a desert 10 . I don t mind paying if it s worth it but it s not.

In the beach club restaurant they seem to fight for who takes note of your order

In the restaurants they are refilling your glasses with the water from your table all the time (even if the glass is still 70% full)
I don t like to be disturbed during my dinner every 5mins with refills and questions a out how my food is.

You have to book the restaurants 2-3 days in advance or you have no chance of getting a table during peak days (august for example)

The third option for dinner is the hotel buffet but it s 60 /person (drinks not included), really overpriced

If you want to have dinner outside the hotel, in a restaurant 3km from the hotel (walapalam), they ll charge you 20 to drive you and pick you up. Really overpriced.
Walapalam is a very good restaurant btw

You don t get your room till 2PM. They offer you a bathroom to get changed and have a shower though.

They enter your room several times a day as the person who cleans the rooms is not the same one as the person who refills the minibar.

The WiFi connection is not stable. Operators use to charge A lot for data at Mauritius so a good WiFi coverage is key.

The TV charges like 10 to watch a movie and the rest of channels are not interesting. In a hotel like this I expect to have a casting system on the TV where I can stream my favorite Netflix show.

I insist a lot with the prices as I prefer to pay more upfront rather than having to overpay certain services.
