There is a lovely island that is linked by a bridge and it can deliver a barefoot experience with a bar and pool on the island, ample sun beds, sofas and hammocks. The sunbeds are not great, not that comfortable.

Had a phenomenal stay at Casa Morada! Staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. Rooms were well kept and property was clean and organized. Breakfast was delicious and peaceful atmosphere to enjoy it. Love the complimentary yoga overlooking the water! I would certainly come back and recommend to my family and friends.

Piece of paradise with a gorgeous view with many long chairs and Amicks to choose from. Friendly staff there to go above and beyond making sure our stay was as perfect as possible. Bar on the man made island, pool is perfect. 2 Extra comfy gazebo when a brake from the sun is needed. Highly recommended thanks for making our honey so special !!

So beautiful! Hands down the most relaxing spot in the keys. The staff treats you like family, the lounge is so cozy, and the views are awesome. The rooms are not large, but plenty for 2. Chill adults only!... This is the keys place to leave the world behind, can't wait to go back!

We ve always wanted to come to this hotel and it was a very disappointing experience.
Customer service/reception: not good at all since we arrived till the end.
Room: it was dirty everywhere. We didn t want to take shower the day we checked out.
Pool: quiet and relaxing. The staff here was friendly and attentive.
Breakfast: small area with no many options.
General: overrated hotel!

Perfect Stay. We got married here about 13 years ago. We actually live in SWFL now and came back for a revisit. Was amazing then and didn't disappoint us on this quick trip either. The staff took great care of us and the visit more than exceeded our expectations again. We didn't want to leave and want to thank everyone that took care of us. We will be back again. Plus dogs can come for a small fee which is also a must for us.

Brides- please read. This was a wonderful venue for our small beach wedding. The venue was actually their small sandy pier (usually occupied by a hammock). It was perfect for us and our 8 guests. The turndown service with rose petals was AMAZING and we received great help and guidance from Stephanie. The photographer was truly amazing as well and our photos were marvelous. Pro tip- go to Chef Michael's for dinner after your wedding. The are some negatives to watch out for and plan ahead for too. There are no speakers on the pier and the resort didnt have any so we brought our own for wedding ceremony music. The officiant Captain Bill was wonderful but he read the vows off his phone. And the original wedding planner Norma was a nightmare to work with (she no longer works there) so stephanie was great when she took over planning but our cake did end up incorrect. And they also had staff sign as witnesses when we wanted our friends to but they did take care of sending the paperwork back in. All in all, a wonderful experience if you're willing to spend the money. My husband and I are looking forward to going back for our honeymoon once we save up :)

Charge your Tesla here where world renowned landscape architect Raymond Jungles re-created this waterfront property into a multi talented wonderland wilderness. Perfectly secluded surrounding this stunningly simple boutique hotel. Here there are secrets you ll love discovering. Don t think about it. Just come. As you are.

Garden front rooms are stunning because of their openings onto the sandy jungle pathway, go to bocce ball on the left or the sunken waterfall garden straight ahead, or the bicycles on the right. Of course all sandy jungle pathways lead to the water!

Yes! The Beach or the boat basin: you can ride out on the sail boat at sunset or the Scuba boat after your healthy breakfast overlooking the bay and the pool out on the island. Hide away in the elevated dining area overlooking serenity or hang out in the hammock on the point!

Adults only! It s made to please your grown up side. But leave your shoes off. Flash sales on occasion turn their waterfront rooms into mini luxury discount vacations, do your homework and find the deals!

The vibe is calm and the service unsurpassed. Went here because the Moorings was booked and am incredibly grateful the universe made it happen. We look forward to a return trip later this winter.

Side note - traveling on American Airlines now is a horror show. Selling the middle seat seems criminal. Luckily Casa Morada was able to wash that away quickly... until the return home.

My boyfriend and I stayed here this summer for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. It is a small, quiet, romantic, and gorgeous retreat. The grounds are absolutely peaceful and beautiful. Staff go above and beyond to give a very personal experience and make sure you have everything you need or want. We enjoyed spending time in the pool and playing games or reading by the cabana and bar area. We will certainly be making a return trip.

We recently attended a beautiful wedding at Casa Morada. I have no complaints about the accommodations or the grounds but I was appalled to see the management yelling at the bride the day after her wedding. This should have been addressed with the wedding planner or at the very least handled in a much more civilized manner. As much as I loved the wedding in this beautiful place, I would definitely say the management needs to reevaluate how they treat their wedding parties.

Absolutely arrogant discriminating staff, clearly because my partner and I have been trying to speak to someone there that is somewhat professional. We were then told that anything the assistant manager says or does cannot be overridden by the manager, but was yet refused to speak to the manager. I find this extremely irritating. Was refused to speak to the actual manager not once, but twice, two separate days. We were also told that "Casa Morada" wasn't for us!!! Why is that, because we are gay? Is our hard earned money not green enough? We would love to speak with the owner about this discrimination and the way we were spoken to. We will be in touch with our lawyer if this is not resolved.

My wife and I stayed at Casa Morada for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! From the beautiful sunsets to the amenities (kayaks, bikes, paddle boards) to the impeccable service, Casa Morada is a top quality boutique hotel. We especially loved our Bartender Sarah! We will return :)

Casa Morada is a beautiful getaway. The quality customer service begins upon check-in and continues through the stay. The amenities are fantastic - a beautiful pool, an outdoor bar, yoga, kayaks, bikes, and more. We fished off the peer and saw five manatee. This tops the list of one of my favorite resorts.

Amenities at the resort were lacking. No service by the pool. Not a lot of seating there as well as umbrellas. Room - no amenities, no iron, cold shower, woke up to banging from the cleaning staff, no turn down service. Management was very rude to guests and not accommodating at all during the entire stay. They need to make it more welcoming, better service, more amenities in the rooms and facilities as well as security.

Terri helped & guided me to which room to stay in and that is the Jungle Room. Very nice, cozy, super comfortable suite with an outdoor balcony. Sara also helped me as well. Lovely, sweet, romantic hotel with a mini restaurant & bar in the back. You can watch the beautiful sunset while sipping cocktails. Bartender Edith was very accommodating and sweet as well. We loved our stay.

Nice quiet place, nice rooms. The location is the best part, has a great little island type section with a pool, cabana where they bring you drinks and food. Board games if you just want to sit in the shade by the water. Lots of beach chairs with umbrellas and a hammock. Or take out the kayaks or snorkel gear to swim in the salt water. And don't forget to pet the cats.

Very impressive accommodations (clean, large room, strong a/c), and very friendly staff. Feels high-end, not the Keys'y kitch found in the area. Solid breakfast. Definitely a quiet getaway considering it's only a block off the main drag. Will return.

We had a great stay at Casa Morada. Our favorite place in Islamorada. From check-in to food/bar service to check-out, everyone was super helpful. The resort and rooms are beautifully taken care of with a minimalist style. We also took advantage of the provided kayaks, paddleboats, and snorkel gear offered for guests. There's quite an assortment of fish life right off the pool and bar area. We enjoyed our stay during a weekday as the busy season was winding down. Would go back during the same time in a heartbeat.

This 4-5 story hotel is located a half-mile north of the Saint Augustine center (10-15 minute walk), but close to some of the "history" attractions like the Old Jail. We spent only one night there, but found it to be well managed and with friendly staff. Our standard King Room was a cut above average for the chain.

We got married here in May and it was a DREAM! Stephanie carried out our details perfectly and Captain Bill was an amazing officient!! Truthfully, Norma was our original coordinator at this location and did not meet our expectations. But in the end, it couldn't have been a more perfect wedding!!

Islamorada:

Islamorada:

First, Islamorada is pronounced: eye-la-more-a-da...I think. We spent the last week of September 2015 at the hotel. This was our first time visiting the Florida Keys. The hotel staff were very pleasant and quick to accommodate.

There is no beach at this hotel. We discovered that the better beaches are in Key West, approximately 2 hours away; however even those are pitiful compared to most of the beaches we've visited. Apparently the Keys are mainly for boating, diving and snorkeling.

For a couple days, the entire Islamorada island smelled of sulfur. The natives don't notice it. We never learned what caused it.

We drove all over the Keys, from Key Largo to Key West, stopping and looking at shops, restaurants, etc. It was mostly hot and sticky the entire time. This was a nice time of year to go there because it was off season and so there wasn't much traffic. The Florida Keys highway is only one lane. Oh, and as far as I could see, all the Florida Key souvenirs were made in China.

The Starfish Room:

The room we stayed in was on the ground level overlooking the bay and has a very nice view. There is a small sail boat docked outside the room, with another slightly larger boat docked on the small island about 30 feet from the first one. You can see several Palm Trees waving in the wind on the small island right past the boats. We were unable to see the sunset from the room due to the island and the bridge that goes to the island; however at the covered lounge, which is also where the bar is, we had a great view.

The room is furnished in the modern style. The couch, to put it nicely, was not comfortable, ever. The bathtub was large and easily fit two people; although we were surprised there was not a step leading up into it.

There is a lot of glass in the room, which helps give great views, but it's at ground level, so disturbingly anyone could walk by and see inside, so we usually kept the shades down. Also, the shades only keep people from looking in, they don't block the sunlight, so every morning we woke up due to the sun shining it's glory into our eyes. They should add heavy curtains to all the glass.

The Lounge:

The bar/lounge is right on the bay. It had some comfortable couches and chairs, tables, board games, etc. The best part was when we saw a couple Manatees swimming by.

Mosquitoes:

The first night there we were discovered by the mosquito horde. Okay, I'm exaggerating; however we did have to kill approximately half a dozen of them in the room so that we wouldn't be bit all night. That was a daily task. Outside they'd feed off of you constantly unless you lathered yourself with Deet or whatever bug-keep-away lotion you have. After a couple days a nice breeze came in and kept them at bay, thus we didn't need to use any lotion to keep them off. Bring bug spray.

Restaurants:

The hotel only serves a continental breakfast. There are numerous very good restaurants in Islamorada; they're not inexpensive. I wish they were up here in our area.

Ziggie's Mad Dog restaurant was excellent. We have eaten a lot of Filet Mignon, but that was the best we've ever had! Also their Lobster with White Truffle Mac and Cheese was fantastic.

Right behind the Bass Outfitters store there is a restaurant, maybe named Islamorada Fish House, that has a 30 or 40 foot open-to-the-bay pool inbetween two dining areas. Around sunset a bunch of very large Tarpon, 5 to 6 feet long, swim around waiting for the staff to feed them.

The Lazy Days restaurant has a nice upper level outside dining area. We were entertained by a man playing his guitar on the first level, who could play very well, but needed a partner who could sing...his voice was painful to listen to.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, we had a very relaxing time at Casa Morada. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a nice quite vacation.

We ve stayed at Casa Morada three times and each time in a different room (Sun, Jungles and Hideaway). The boutique hotel is quaint, charming and all the rooms are special and have a unique quality. We love this hidden gem and try to get back at least once a year. It s very relaxing and easy to have a lazy day, but yoga, bikes, kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel gear are all included. We ve loved all our stays!

Was just there last week for my boyfriend's birthday and we had a great time. We were upgraded when we arrived and they bought us both birthday drinks. The location is picturesque. We also hired them to take us out on a snorkeling excursion. Unfortunately the water was not very clear but the captain was amazing! The entire staff was great. Highly highly recommend and definitely will be back!

This place is a gem. Classic, classy, yet casual as the keys. The staff makes you feel at home instantly and the grounds are gorgeous. We stayed in a room on the water and it was well worth it. The island is spacious enough so you re not fighting for a good seat every spot is comfortable and complete with a breathtaking view of the gulf. Impressed by everything, and pleasantly surprised by complementary sunset sails, yoga and more. We can t wait to come back!

First, thanks for the stay. Relaxed holidays in paradise can be so relaxed. Room and grounds are great. The staff are always hard-working and read the wishes almost from the eyes. You can snorkel, SUP drive and kayaks, all for free. The breakfast terrace is very nice.

Only 16 suites and no children allowed = blissful romantic getaway. Often you feel like you have the place to yourselves. The pool on its own island is mesmerizing. Terri the manager went above and beyond to make our stay amazing! We eloped and married on the pier. Terri took care of everything and came in on her day off to make sure everything was perfect! Edith at the bar was equally fantastic! I ve been coming here for many years and will be back time and again. There s just nothing else like it! 5 stars!!!!!

TLDR: I wouldn't stay here again.

TLDR: I wouldn't stay here again.

The Good: Great location, friendly staff, reliable WiFi, and comfortable bed. Plenty of "amenities" on the property ranging from the traditional hammock setup to a pool and cabana area (equipped with a small kitchen and bar) that sports a decent view of the ocean.

The Bad: The price point (~$500 per night for a courtyard view room) and quality of the place felt VASTLY out of sync with comparable properties nearby. Casa Morada feels like a motel trying to be a resort. The room felt dated and barren; it was sparsely furnished and ultimately unimpressive -- think: college dorm. While the property has a fair amount of amenities, the condition and odd arrangement of everything made it far less appealing.

We have been waiting now for a month to get a refund for our stay that was canceled due to closings with Covid. Casa Morada is giving us the runaround saying that our almost $2,000 is nonrefundable, despite the fact that we had no choice but to cancel during this epidemic!!!!! I am extremely disappointed in the customer service (management) ignoring my requests to discuss this matter. I will now be taking it up with American Express to go after them. I will delete this review once management issues our deserved refund! Rebecca Shelton

We had a wonderful stay at casa morada for a friends wedding. The resort is beautiful and we rented out the entire place - who wouldn t have a great time!!?

However...the morning after the wedding, a fairly tame party, we were berated by one of the managers, Ellen, for not cleaning up the bar/pool area. A small group of us got right to cleaning, finished the task in less than an hour and she continued to moan and groan. It was the most absurd behavior I have ever experienced from a person working in hospitality. She was acting as if we were spoiled little kids and she was doing us a favor for letting us stay/have a wedding at the resort. The bride was crying, Ellen was throwing plates at us and made a giant scene. I m not sure the final cost paid by the bride/groom but from my perspective the hotel had a fully booked resort for an entire weekend, and threw a fit over a couple bags of trash left over in the bar area. There were no other guests at the resort during this time so I don t really see how it was such a huge issue?? The whole situation was handled very poorly and left us feeling sour. Basically Ellen sucks and shouldn t be anywhere near the hospitality industry. Everyone else was great!

My review comes a little late as I stayed end of Oct 2019 but I LOVE THIS PLACE! Just looking at booking again and feel the need to leave a review....Located in a peaceful and secluded area with a private "island" on the water, you will not want to leave. However, the offerings are motivating! One day we took a kayak out along the Mangroves and saw many nurse sharks. Each day we were able to take the complimentary bikes to restaurants close by. We also enjoyed just hanging out by the pool and bar area while watching the diverse collection of fish in the water below. Quite a few manatees strolled by in the AM!!!
The room itself was just ok and could use some updating. Bathroom a little cramped. All in all the bed was comfortable, decor was nicely done, clean room and an added bonus for my little dog that accompanied me. They are super dog friendly (and cozy cats on the premise) and provided a dog bed, bowl, treats and poop bags. Coco enjoyed her stay as much as I did!
