Very disappointing. I came here with my 2 sisters last week hoping to have an enjoyable time sitting with our coffee and cookies as we did last year. Nope. First of all, the place was so uninviting and unwelcoming. Not a good feel at all. Secondly, my sister stood in front of meat counter for a good five minutes while the employee definitely saw her there, but continued on the meat cutter just ignoring her. You would think Lombardi s world be eager to help a customer and get her business since there was no one else in the place! Extremely rude. Unacceptable behavior especially in this climate. And on top it, meatballs were subpar, dense with no taste at all and ridiculously priced! Tomato sauce tasted very tart and acidic to boot. Cookies were okay and extremely expensive. Could get the same at a local bakery for the third of the price. Tried to start a conversation about how the place was faring during COVID. Boy at counter was uninterested at best. It was like talking to a robot. Lastly, my sisters and I are ioo% Italian. We, of all people, know how Italians are: warm, gregarious, joyful, always trying to make you feel good. Lombardis Gourmet Cafe was anything but. I literally walked out and said to my sisters, Those people could not have been Italian. What an insult and disgrace to Italians. Shame on your employees and shame on you. You guessed it. We will NOT be returning!
