The Hilton at Penn's Landing is a very nice hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, you get a little refrigerator in your room and you can pay $25 for the stay to have a microwave. The pool is good for exercise, the water could be a little cooler in the summer even as a heated pool and for the amount of guests it needs to be longer/bigger although it's one of the bigger pools than most hotels. The food in the hotel is decent. The staff are very helpful, shout out to the concierge who helped us on where to go for Cheese steaks; Tony Lukes which has the best Philly Cheese steaks we've ever eaten.
We reserved our stay under an overnight package which included passes for different things but wasn't given to me when I checked in. That was not a problem because we got here kind of late to be doing much of anything. The big issue I have is when my husband went to ask for it at the desk the next morning the person he was speaking with had it in her hand to give it to him when another representative who is a tall African American woman with glasses came all the way over from the other end of the counter, looking at him suspiciously, and told her not to give it to him but to check if he's a guest. There were other representatives that didn't have any problem giving the package to him. It's not what she did it's how she did it, guests shouldn't be made to feel like they're trying to scam something from the hotel. We've been staying at Hilton hotels as well as other brand name hotels for many years and have never been treated like that. Our hope is that in the future she will be more discreet and professional in her manner. Guests should not be made to feel uncomfortable for minor issues as that. That's why the 2 stars otherwise it would be 4.
