I would give the Victorian Arts Centre 5 stars. We are frequent visitors because we attend concerts, theatre and are exhibitions regularly. However it is difficult to accept that a venue which competes successfully with some in Europe or the U. S. Does not provide sfter theatre supper and provides the inadequate justification that the chef has gone home. In particular I attempted to book a place for our party of 12 after a performance only to be told that the restaurant/barre in question does not take bookings. When we arrived immediately after the performance we were told that the kitchen had closed. This is not a isolated incident. I am slowly extricating myself from the Arts centre offerings because it does not allow us to have s whole night ou . Pity. Only in Melbourne.
