the most unreliable service ever. I reside in Pearland which is a suburb in the south Houston area. I called yellow cab at about 4:20PM on a Tuesday afternoon to go home when I got off from work. After a long, tiring day, I was ready to pay and tip a cab driver to get me there safely as temperatures had dropped to about 40 degrees. I patiently awaited a ride which I assumed was on the way as I was told by a person at the answering service. However, about 40 minutes later, I received a call back from yellow cab and a different person asked me if I was actually going to need a ride. I replied yes, confirming and was confused as to why they would call me and ask such a question, when that was the whole reason I had contacted them in the first place. Frustrated, I continued to wait. Around 5:50, an hour and 30 minutes after my original call, I called back and let a woman know that I was still waiting! She informed me that there was a cab in my area but he hadn't taken my order,..so that was unhelpful. She told me that the next available was going to be dispatched to me. At 6:30 I was fed up and got a ride home from a friend. At 6:50, I received a call from yellow cab in which they hung up before I could even answer. This was definitely a most unfortunate and irritating experience for me. I will never depend on yellow cab Houston again, and will not recommend them to anyone. Thankfully I'm getting a new vehicle soon and will no longer have to.smh.
