Following a poor experience with a woman who caused unnecessary stress because over the course of 2 phone calls in which I made it clear that I couldn t pick up my Escape by 4, she didn t bother to state that you were open for pickup until 6. I had even gone so far as to call people to see if I could get a ride. It apparently occurred to her 8 minutes into the 2nd call that she should say that pickup was open until 6. I was so annoyed that I called the service manager. He was terrific. He moved my appt up a day, & arranged for a free rental car. I explained to him that I had waited 3 months for the appt for a recall. Ordinarily, I wouldn t have an issue w/ times. But, I was having to drop my car off a day early because the weather was calling for severe thunderstorms the following day. My husband was supposed to follow me in his car & drive us home. But, he d recently had a vessel burst in his left eye & lost his vision. He can t drive in bad weather. So you re service manager felt it would be much less stressful on me if I had a rental car & could pick my Escape up at my convenience once it was ready. I can t tell you how much stress that took off of me. Chris was waiting when I brought my Escape in. He couldn t have been more helpful. When I picked up my Escape, the display panel made a clicking sound & flipped through several screens twice. I went back In & notified Chris. He said it was probably the computer resetting; but, he d make a note of it just in case. The gentleman who provided me with the rental Escape was extremely nice as was the woman who gave me my keys & paperwork when I picked up my Escape. All in all I had a very good experience.
