They got all the new comics I'm looking for and their staff is pretty nice and friendly.

If you love comics, you'll love this place. Staff knew exactly where to find what I was looking for.

I moved to Marietta from Athens last year and was worried there wouldn't be a proper comic book store around. I was so happy to find this place! They've got a great comic selection, helpful staff, a huge selection of trade paperbacks, boardgames, and current tabletop RPG books. I really like the shelving and layout of the new issues; they're all alphabetized and neatly sorted so it makes it easy-mode to find what you're looking for.

If you don't find what you are looking for, they will assist you in locating it. Another benefit at this shop is if you start a monthly pull list for new books, you'll receive a discount based on the number of books on your list each month.

Something they do here that I never seen before is allow you to check out comics, almost like a library. I'm not sure how it works, because I never asked, but it's a pretty cool concept.

Top notch selection of past and modern comic books. There is even a small selection of card and board games at reasonable prices for all to enjoy. I would definitely recommend stopping by for an experience.

When I got back into comics a year ago after putting them away for many years I tried a few different local stores and Great Escape was the one that really made the best impression. They have a great selection of current issue comics and a huge selection of back issues as well. They offer a great subscription service so they will pull your books for you and have them waiting on you when you arrive. Friendly staff and a great owner. I highly recommend this store to anyone in the area.

A great comic book store,this is the best comic book store you can ever go to,they have a very large selection of comic books with every great comic book you could ever want,they have a large selection of great graphic novel trade paperbacks,they got a lot of fun game cards and great toys for children,this a great store for the whole family to go visit,the whole family will have fun everytime they go to this awesome store,there is something for everyone,this is the best store ever,I highly recommend it

Took my grandson there for the first time and I must say the young gentleman that was working was the best he took his time and help my grandson make a great choice on his first purchase of cosmic book and I believe it was his LUNCH TIME THIS IS MY GRANDSONS COMIC BOOK STORE WE WERE BOTH VERY HAPPY A PLEASED

They have a great selection of comics here. They also have a nice selection of diamond select figures which are hard to find in a store!

It should really just be called Great Escapes Comics.
The game section is pretty small, but the store is packed with comics.
The sign outside only says "Comics", and is difficult to see from the road.

The comic selection was okay. It's a small joint so it'd be difficult to carry everything. They do try and dabble in gaming though they fall a little short, but that's not their focus. If you want current Magic boosters you'll be fine. Unfortunately the service is terrible. Seriously, it's bad. Generally it's this one guy that has no answers, and acts bothered by even having to ring you up, much less come out from behind the counter or answer a question. I understand you might need the owner to answer certain questions, but if you get him to point and grunt without an eyeroll and five minute sigh when asking for ~blank~ comic, you've caught him on a good day. Maybe they cater to existing customers and could care less about new ones? They are extremely close to my house, but after a handful of visits, all the same, I will now go out of my way to avoid this uncomfortable place. I'm sure if I was there when the owner was there, it'd be a completely different vibe.

Small comic shop with friendly service. A great source of recent back-issues at cover price. Whenever I'm missing the first few issues of a series I'm interested in, I always check here. They usually have what I'm looking for still in stock.
