USING SMART CHOICE REALTY IS NOT A SMART CHOICE!

I am posting this complaint to help all future real estate buyers and sellers avoid the stress and incompetence that I experienced with Smart Choice Realty. As I prepared to sell my home, I interviewed three different real estate companies to represent the sale. During that selection process I met Angie Bagley of Smart Choice and was impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. I selected Smart Choice to sell my home for me because of Angie.
Just prior to putting up the for sale sign, I got a call form Samara Presley, owner of Smart Choice Realty, to let me know Angie was no longer part of the sales team and that she would be coordinating the sale process. The phone call from Samara was the beginning of the nightmare for me. My house was listed on the MLS on !0/26/18 and the first showing was 10/29/18. I had more than13 showings that day but never got a phone call from my broker. I had over 45 showings of my home prior to 11/17/18 and never heard a word from my agent. I later found out that she was on vacation. She did not return my calls and was absolutely no help during the showing process or the negotiations for the repair list that came from the home inspections. All she did was call to discuss the two contracts that had been presented. Samara was out of touch and unsupportive at the most critical times of the sales process. In fact, to this day, I have never met Samara Presley in person. What kind of agent acts like that?
The story gets worse. It seems that Samara Presley did not want to be bothered with the sale of my home. Someone, perhaps Samara, gave my phone number to the buyer s agent Jenny Hensley, and told her to call me directly. Jenny called me several times to discuss the deal and the punch list items from the inspection. I have never heard of such a thing! In fact, I believe it violates several real estate laws. It is also unethical. The situation was so bad that the closing attorney apologized to me for the behavior of the Samara Presley and Smart Choice. I have discussed the issue with a real estate attorney who recommended I speak to a well-known real estate expert who teaches real estate classes and knows the finest details of the law. Thankfully, I know this person and I am meeting with him later this month to further discuss this case.
My strongest recommendation to you is DO NOT USE SMART CHOICE REALTY TO BUY OR SELL A HOUSE. I urge you to read the other reviews about SMART CHOICE and you will see that mine is not the first time that Samara Presley has ignored her clients and failed to return phone calls at critical times.
The smart choice for buyers and sellers of real estate is to NOT USE SMART CHOICE REALTY.
