Nicely appointed hotel but the staff would benefit...

Nicely appointed hotel but the staff would benefit from additional training I suspect... Check in was a lengthy process as the receptionist didn't understand the nature of the package we had booked so tried to charge us additionally for parking etc. Then they were unable to create us our keys so they had to get a member of staff to let us in to our room whilst they resolved that problem. Unfortunately it took 2-3 minutes for them to explain and the other member of staff to understand. Dinner was okay though the waiting staff seemed to struggle to understand any particular queries about the menu or any possible divergence from it. I would stay here again on a particular package (we were visiting Chessington World of Adventure and it was very cost effective) but probably wouldn't seek it out of I was in the area.
