Wife and I were traveling from Alabama to Texas. Had absolutely no intentions of buying a new car. We looked up Holmes Honda and saw they had a good selection of 2018 Honda Odysseys of different colors, so we thought we would just drive by and look at the different color options.
It was raining that day and the Odysseys were at the front of the lot, far away from the showroom.
I look up and see this gentleman headed my way with an umbrella. I said " I see you brought and umbrella so you wouldn't get wet". He replied" I brought the umbrella so YOU would not get wet and you could look at the Odysseys.
That gentleman was John Young. I told John that we were just traveling through and were not interested in purchasing a car. He said "no problem, if you have any questions maybe I can answer them".
I began asking John questions about the vehicle and was impressed with his complete knowledge of the 2018 Odyssey.
Talking with John was such an enjoyable encounter (calm, honest, knowledgeable, patient, zero pressure) that we did end up buying an Obsidian blue 2018 Odyssey Touring. Thanks also to Cody Crowder (sales manager) for pricing the vehicle such that it did get my attention.
