I have never heard of an establishment that really treated a customer so rudely.

My girlfriend had to order a fairly pricey book for her school here. This would supposedly be available, but this turned out to be no longer true after 2 days.
When my girlfriend called to cancel the order, this would happen according to a lady the next day. However, this promise turned out to be meaningless as well, since nothing was canceled after 3 days.
My girlfriend has called Scheltema up to 5 times about this and every one was either taken away or hung up immediately.

This behavior is to be expected from an eight-year-old who would suddenly become the owner of a random candy store, not the largest bookstore in Amsterdam. Really absurd.
