The Aulani is a beautiful property. The service is impeccable, everyone is friendly and helpful. In the mornings, you'll hear the sounds of Aunty's singing wafting into your room, and in the evenings you'll hear mostly Hawaiian influenced songs by different artists. Everything about Aulani is masterfully planned and while not overly Disney (which I loved) carries the perfect amount of Disney charm. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous. The pools are great, though I do feel like they close way way way too early. The food is just okay throughout the property, which is to be expected. They have one quick service cafe (the Ulu Cafe) which you can refill your Disney mugs at with coffee, which would frequently run out of coffee due to all the parents/uncles/aunts/grandparents coming down for coffee. They definitely need another cafe on the other side of the resort. The food isn't terribly priced at the Ulu Cafe, you can get a pretty hefty breakfast platter for $13, but things like bottled drinks and chips are ridiculously overpriced. Aunty's beach house is amazing!!! It is the best best best kids club I've ever seen, and the security is top notch. It feels like the secret service is watching over your kids.. but that they're also super fun! Our child went to "Stitch's space goo" and still can't stop laughing about the event. I would come back in a heartbeat! A few things that definitely put a damper on the stay was the awful wifi. It worked 1 day of the 8 that we were there. Also, the rooms are really dark, and definitely the early pool close times. Other than that, this is probably the best place to go on a family vacation. It's pricy, but you will have a great time!
