Absolutely delightful place to eat, with lovely food (locally sourced) and local ales as well as the usual selection.
We went for a birthday celebration, and after initially walking past because we couldn't see fish on the menu, spotted that they have so much fish it's on a separate board! Plumped for the turbot which we've never had before, after discussing its merits with the owner (who also runs with spaniels - a good sign), and because we don't typically eat a lot each, and they had just one turbot but a big one, they made a meal for two at a very good price.
Saxon pale ale for me (tastes just like a commercial lager only with some subtle fragrances which is why I don't like the commercial beers so much), an excellent accompaniment.
Word of warning - the signage to get you in is not so good. Don't walk by, it's superb and really worth a visit!
