We have seen many productions of Shakespeare in many venues over the years. My wife, a retired costume designer, agreed with me when I remarked that I was disappointed that the actors were in other than Elizabethan costumes. We have seen and enjoyed a wide variety of costumes and settings, some of which worked better than others, but not here so much has been done to reproduce an authentic experience, including the poor groundlings becoming drownlings in a hard, steady rain.
Otherwise, it was everything we had hoped for. A MUST for any fan of the Bard. Our lower level seats with our backs to the wall were perfect. Spend the few extra pounds for cushions, too.
