I ADVISE EVERYONE TO AVOID THIS COMPANY. THEY DON'T LOOK AFTER THEIR CUSTOMERS AND WHEN PEOPLE LEAVE, THEY WILL DO THERE BEST TO SQUEEZE EVERY SINGLE PENNY OUT OF YOU. THIS COMPANY IS RUN BY CRIMINALS THAT NEED INVESTIGATING BY THE OMBUDSMAN!!!!!!

Absolute shocking company to deal with. Customer service is shocking and staff are rude on the phone and unprofessional.

I was with BES for over 3.5 years (I didn't check reviews before signing up) and it's when you come to leave or switch supply or move out of a property they show true colours.

There rates are appalling AFTER your fixed term rates come to an end. Great for the first year or two when the fixed plan is in place, but as soon as the fixed term ends and you go onto a variable plan, all of a sudden rates shoot up, every 6 months prices go up 17% every 6 months.

The only way to end a contract with them is 2 ways...... pay an early termination fee or vacate your property and not become the leaseholder of the property (to which you then aren't liable for the metre). I took the second option and moved premises to a new shop. However....... when you tell BES this, they want proof you have vacated and no longer in charge of the property. Not only have I sent images of the empty property, I have also passed on my landlords details to confirm this. In less than 24 hours they keep sending automated emails back saying that the application to surrender the lease has been rejected by the landlord or they haven't been able to get in touch with the landlord (which is total rubbish and lies) They THEN send you bills for the daily standing charge on the property, and when you don't pay them, they ADD late payment fee's.
