Rachelle Buffington Review of Marriott Hotels-Key Bridge Mar...

I've only been here for a few hours, and the only reason I'm here is because my agency booked a block of rooms here.
Smells: This hotel stinks. Literally. Walking through the hall, there was just this awful, musty odor. Smelled a bit like cigarette smoke and funeral home. But then I ended up on an elevator that smelled like a huge bag of chicken compost. The room itself smells musty, and the pillows smell of old sweat.
Look and feel: Beyond the awful smells, the halls are low, narrow, dark, and give off the nice hourly-rate motel vibe. It feels dirty and scuzzy. The room is small and dark, and yet not dark enough to watch a TV show on the absurdly dark TV screen in the room. What should be bright white is more of a calm gray. Good luck watching anything with night scenes. And there's no way to adjust the picture settings. Tried getting someone to come fix it--front desk said they'd send someone, but no one showed up.
Accommodations: The bathroom is small. I've had better accommodations at a Courtyard by Marriott. The beds seem really old and cheap. The linens do not smell fresh.
Noise: When I checked in, there was something extremely noisy happening in the lobby. But the person checking me in did not feel the need to speak up. That was frustrating.
The hotel seems to be adjacent to the airport, so look forward to hearing commercial jet engines directly overhead every 5 minutes from dawn till dusk.
The AC and mini fridge also contribute to a wild amount of noise you'll get to experience, too. And the walls are pretty thin, so hopefully you enjoy listening to your neighbors coughing, sneezing, and loud TVs (among other beauteous sounds of the night).
The only reason I gave this place a second star is because the concierge lounge had decent food. This rating subject to change since I'm here for two more nights (if I live that long).
It smells gross in here. I cannot stress that enough.
