This was our second visit to the Pelican's Nest. This time it was on a Saturday evening .

My learning was do not go when the sunset catamarans are coming in. They are run by the same company as the restaurant.

Our first visit was great. This time it was painful. Everything was focused on preparing for the 40-50 folks coming in from the two catamarans. They did not have enough wait staff nor was the kitchen prepared.

Our waiter Freddy tried very hard but he was not set up for success by the kitchen or the manager . After a long wait, I had to get up to find out was going on with our appetizers. Found out that the chef was on break. After getting the apps, I tried to get another fork for the table. I had to get up again to go and get one. Same scenario when it came time to settle up.

While I was waiting with the our waiter to run my credit card, the manager Michael came over . He was oblivious. He was just focused on the big party. He could not care less about my family of 6 .

This is too bad since it is a beautiful spot and the food was pretty good.
