Edit: It's been two weeks since they responded to my comment below and told me to contact them at the listed email. I did contact them at the email address to resolve the situation, and they never responded. Absolutely terrible customer service-avoid at all costs.
Dishonest billing practices. I received my initial bill for 161.00 after insurance and made a payment of it of 50. Should be a balance of $111.00 right? In my next statement, I now have a balance of 185 with the $50.00 payment applied. I called to inquire why my balance is higher even with an additional payment and Carson told me that they had to add an additional "facility fee" on this statement. Why wasn't this on the initial statement? When I challenged this, he told me this is how it works at every hospital. It's not. I come from the hospital industry and you do not keep tacking on charges like this. I would not recommend them if you want honest billing practices and transparent, or even decent customer service as Carson was unhelpful, impatient and rude.
Oh, and the best part. Is after you visit there, they will then send you a mailing from their foundation asking for donation. FFS. It's absolutely ridiculous and I would not recommend this health system to anyone.
