I dined at The Southern on New Years Eve, with a Prix Fixed menu. I ordered a red wine and mushroom risotto. The appearance of this dish resembled wet dog food. It look as though all ingredients had been put in to a food processor and served in a bowl. The appearance was so awful I could hardly look at my dish, and the taste was not much better. Unfortunately, the dinner was $75/head. The only reason I am giving two stars, rather than one, is because the rest of my party ordered filets, and they thoroughly enjoyed theirs.
