I'd give you 3 stars, but taking pictures was allowed, that's why it's 4 stars. And why I'd give you so little? Because I didn't see my favourite painting by J.M.W. Turner :((((( I have no idea, the room where it was, was probably shut.. I felt very miserable. Seeing all the other paintings, that I've been learning about, was really amazing. But this painting, I shared huge hopes with it. I believe my boyfriend wouldn't manage to shift me off floor under the painting, so it's a positive for him. I'd stand there until I'd absorb the painting, or fade into it. I wanna see it!! :(
Little minus for the unconfidence with picture taking. People were mostly hiding their devices, or sneaking. I looked up the internet, cause i was a bit shy to ask for pictures opportunity (mostly i didn't want to hear a 'no'.. lol) and the site clearly states pictures ARE allowed, except for exhibitions or lent paintings. Made me really happy to take pictures, especially that it takes me a few seconds but the old stranger lady said otherwise, with confidence, proposing me to ask the guard nearby that she's right - she was sure pictures were not allowed. The guard was 1 metre away, so if it was so strict I'm sure he would bother me taking pictures with a camera. Lol
I'm extremally happy you changed this rule. That's because I wanted to make my own painting database, for what I've seen - for my study research only. I have a very bright camera, so I don't need to use any light source for pictures, and it takes me up to 5 seconds to turn my camera on- take picture - off. When people covered the painting, i waited patiently till they leave their spots. But you have to make it more obvious, that would be nice. And the ladies, pi**ing me off with flash photography they took, or lent paintings they captured (they had a sing of crossed camera, not enough for them) - would be nice, especially if somebody CLEARLY told them, you can't f***ing flash over ancient artwork !!!!!!! I wouldn't, cause I'm not a nosy old lady. That's what guards, and the informing sings are for.
