Wow, what a place. I have visited twice now, and both times had a guide that was friendly, informative and (most importantly) explained things in such a way that it made sense, despite not having studied physics since high school! CERN is so big, and there are so many projects, that a tour will never be the same twice. To begin to understand what the universe is made of and how exactly a particle collider works was very intellectually rewarding.
