I had a carpet business keep my credit card information without permission from the deposit transaction over the phone. The day the job was completed the sales person left a VM/email asking if I wanted to use the same card or use a different method. She never waited for a response and just charged it again right then without permission. I submitted the dispute that included her email "ASKING" me how I wanted to pay the same day of the charge. They just closed it out saying I had services completed with the business. Businesses are saving credit card numbers left and right and charging customers as they please. They need to be held accountable. CITI did not hold them accountable. I therefore closed my account in good standing I had since 2013. No thank you. If they didn't help me with this I can only imagine what would happen if a thief used my card number. Their customer service lines are terrible.
