I was told I would be notified when my daughter arrived. I was not.

I was told this was a nice facility where she'd get lots of care. I've learned she watches a lot of television and sees her roommates getting sedated and restrained. My daughter also says it feels like a prison.

I was told I'd be updated on treatment plans, medication, etc... I have not.

I was told I would get daily updates. I got ONE update in seven days stating they were extending the 72 hour hold because she's a danger to herself or others, but they could not tell me which, or what she had said that indicated this. (I guess it wasn't noteworthy enough to write down)

Today - I was told I can pick up my daughter tomorrow because she hasn't indicated she's a danger to herself or others during her stay there. Why, one might ask, did you keep my child 4 extra days? Why can't I pick up my child today?

If your child ends up here, my heart goes out to you. They won't let you transfer to a better rated facility, they won't let you know what they're doing to your child or how they're medicating your child. They won't tell you when you can see your child. They'll simply leave you a worried parent for a week while they inappropriately bill you for services they aren't offering, group therapy sessions the children don't all have time to talk in, and medication they want to prescribe without having even a ten minute conversation with your child.

Also, the staff will tell you that Diane Crumb cares, and if you are having problems reach out to her (One would hope all the staff cares, but this was told to me by at least 3 staff while I was trying to get information, so it must not be the case). 12 messages, 7 days later, no return call (Which is also the case for Dr. Killeman (Or possibly Kiltman), Chika Achebe, or Joelle - basically anyone that can tell you anything)

Ask lots of questions if you do get a call! (It might be the last) You'll quickly learn all the same scary details about the mistreatment of their power and horrible recording/communication practices. You'll soon learn, as I did, when they say 7 days, they mean it. Most likely not because the extra time is needed, but just because they can.
