I surprised my husband with a stay at the Claremont for his 50th birthday. I wouldn t be writing this but considering it was a big birthday and he deserves to be treated well. Keep in mind we ve stayed at many historical hotels in the past for example the Peabody, Del Coronado and the broadmoor Hotel. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed because the beds were very uncomfortable, there was a very loud noise outside our window and door through out the night. We couldn t pin point it but it was very disturbing, house keeping failed to bring additional item and waiting for over a hour I had to called them a second time. The club house is under construction and inconvenient. This place isn t for relaxation at all, somewhat misleading. The restaurant food was average and the staff wasn t very friendly and can use some training. I also shared my concerns with the front desk girl but it was quickly acknowledged with an apology but by her actions my concerns weren t important enough to request for a manager. That s unfortunate, I do appreciate the architecture and how the hotel has been maintained, very pretty hotel. Thanks for reading. I hope your hotel stay is a positive experience.
