Truly an open air thatre. Performances are fully engaging (actors interact with audience). Seeing a show? You could get a seat in the gallery (not entirely comfortable) or better, get a spot in the pit (near the stage so you can lean on it) if you don't mind standing for 2-3 hours. Be ready to have birds and other wildlife nearby at the show. Or a helicopter or plane flying overhead. Shakespeare actors are well trained for this arena. If you want the feel of performing in this space yourself, you'll need to go through the ESU.
