I ordered an upright freezer from Walmart (sold & shipped by them). Needed an extra place to put my frozen goodies. What arrived was a refrigerator with a significantly smaller freezer compartment. A good tradeoff for what I paid, but very unfortunately the wrong item. I already have a fridge/freezer... Hence the purchase of the upright freezer. I get it, coronavirus, understaffed warehouses, and a huge load of orders (clearly, an unfortunate mix). My problem is that it was a "hot deal" and as such, it sold out very quickly. Other people ordered a freezer after me, didn't they? Did they also receive the wrong product? If not, why was my order botched. Did I receive the short end of the stick? Now I not only have to wait for this freezer to get back in stock, but I have to wait for it to be on sale again? I'd rather not, that's ridiculous. Customer service was unhelpful, they just issued a return and told me to order it again .... when it's back in stock. If I just wanted to return, I could have easily done it myself. What I wanted was consolation for the time wasted (reimbursement) and a reassurance that something like this wouldn't happen again. I would have also liked to be guaranteed the same price and a replacement of what I ordered.... Needless to say, I received none of the above. Won't be shopping Walmart online in the near future...
