We used Hambleton Hall as a stop over for one night. This hotel is in a beautiful setting with impressive well manicured gardens. The hotel s decor may not be to everyone s taste as it is very traditional, even a little dated. Our room was well appointed and comfortable, but was lacking many facilities such as a safe, tea and coffee facilities, mini bar or fridge and usb points for charging lap tops or phones.
There are equally impressive country house hotels offering more up to date facilities at much better value.
The highlight is the fine dining restaurant. Our meal could not be faulted. Superb imaginative dishes presented by attentive and well trained staff
