Went to school here. The first day I noticed how many simply attend MSU for parties and didn't work at all to be admitted. While I spent my days in class or at work, my roommates or hall-mates were blasting music, skipping class, having intercourse, and getting drunk.
Class sizes are too large, and despite my efforts to attend office hours and get to know my teachers, many didn't seem to care about anything other than getting their checks.
New teacher's were brought in and received no training, when this caused students to fail an exam (60% of the class), ZERO apologies were made and the students were blamed.

Racist and sexist speakers were allowed on campus and the culture was not made for people to succeed. The University exists to get money from people's freshman and sophomore year before they wise up and leave.

Regret having attended here and advise students to ignore the sporting programs and it's long history, and leave the school to clean up it's act.
