As much as I love this place, and the food is quite good, but we had a horrible experience with the service (not our first bad experience there). Our main plates came out at very different times, and our dessert came out before our mains (even tho they asked do you want your dessert at the end? Which we said yes). When we told the waitress this was odd and unpleasant, she explained that they have 2 kitchens, and I quote this is how we do it at Buvette. Plates come out at different times. If that doesn t work for you, then maybe Buvette isn t for you .

I dine out a lot in New York, and I love this city, but her attitude was a little too much. Frankly, rather than apologizing for the complete mismanagement of the food service, she found a way to completely mistreat her paying customers. No matter how good you are at your craft, a little humility never hurt, Buvette.
