Absolutely, the worst experience. While booking rooms at the Biltmore was exciting knowing that it would be a centerpiece experience for our wedding weekend, it actually turned out to be the worse aspect of the wedding. My fiance and I booked rooms (his and hers) several months in advance of our wedding day. During the reservation process, we expressed that we would be having our ceremony and reception outside of the hotel venue but that we wanted to take professional photos onsite at the hotel. We proceeded with our reservations as the representative expressed that it was possible as all we needed was a photography permit. About three weeks before the big day, I went on site to get better understanding of the layout. Again, I expressed to the wedding services director and other reps that I booked rooms for the wedding weekend and was even given a tour of the rooms. This day, I once again shared the intent of having professional wedding photos taken on site. After explaining the arrangements to the rep, they suggested that I upgrade rooms (which I did later that day) so that our wedding party would fit comfortably. The rep also confirmed that all we needed was a permit to take photos on site. I called the Biltmore to obtain a permit. About two weeks before the wedding, I received a call from the director of wedding services who was outraged that we were trying to get a permit. Despite the fact that I previously expressed why I booked my rooms there, she refused to issue us a permit stating that another wedding was taking place that day and that they could only have one bride on site. With 2 weeks before the wedding, they refused to help us out, despite the fact that we were communicated the wrong information on several occasions. And now, about a week after the wedding, we are yet to receive refund. Fortunately, the Langham Huntington in Pasadena saved our wedding weekend as they offered us amazing suites and even issued a photography permit free of cost.
