Wonderful serene cool calm little island in a bustling busy city..the grimy grey city full of the madding crowds rushing about, tourists and shoppers, nair do wells, and Whitehall chaps they all walk past this place looking for treasure.. for gold on the streets...when in here are all the people who went before them immortalised in paint bearing silent witness to the short time we all spend here...its worth a visit...its free...and makes you reflect on vanity and pomp...and on the touching frailness of our lives
