I would like to say that if the agents at this office are anything like Trey Cooper, DON T LIST with them. While I understand the real estate market very well, have bought and sold houses over thirty (30) years. I have not seen this type of bait and switch by agents other than used car salesman. It is the job of the agent to know the market and list a property accordingly , not relist a day later by $25,000 and they over the weekend by $50,000 when a contract for full value was offered and not even have the courtesy to inform the buyers agent of such offers to potentially counter! This not only gives buyers the feeling that you were not even consider or in the running for the purchase of the property. Yes it s a sellers market at this time, and things change. Professionalism and courtesy shouldn t! While I m sure he will counter with my duty is to my client , while I agree with him it is also to the people that you could have as a client, both now and the future and knowing that you understand the market and price property accordingly, so that the buying public can choose to know a price and not have to go back to their lender for $50,000 over your listed price. Not only that but to communicate with other agents when you have a full price offer, but refuse or ignore the courtesy of a call to an agent to indicate here s where we are and would you buyer chose to counter . Congratulations on giving real agents a bad name, and making buyers suspicious! Maybe you should always include a tag or note on your listing, subject to change without notice, and if I m not your agent, good luck! One thing for certain you will have a future in the used car business!
