We've been interested in going solar for awhile. Heading into 2019 we knew the time was right, as it's the last year of the 30% federal tax credit. After getting the proposal from EcoMark, I crunched the numbers under a more "pessimistic" scenario an assumption of flat electricity prices and found that we'd still come out ahead financially over 20 years, on the assumption that net metering from Xcel Energy will persist. So we pulled the trigger! Installation went smoothly, and a month later our system was up and running. Within the first week of operation in mid-March (which included a snowstorm day with zero production), we were already a net energy producer, with our solar panels producing more than we consumed! We're glad we went with EcoMark, a reputable and local Colorado company. And we're happy we went solar, to help reduce carbon emissions while also saving our family money in the long term! I'll be encouraging friends & neighbors to go solar with EcoMark, too.
