I had an operation today and I was shocked with how I was treated with highest care, consideration and professionalism from start to finish.

From Mr Patel the consultant surgeon to Nora and Linda the theatre nurses to the orderlies and staff nurses - everyone was helpful, kind considerate, respectful and excellent at what they did.

And, after all that, we get it all for free. I don't think I've ever said 'I am proud of the NHS' before. But I am proud of the NHS. And I am proud of UCLH.
