The food was great at GR Steak. Got the wagyu filet and wasnt dissapointed. Melt in the mouth type of steak that was perfectly medium rare. Man...i miss that steak! The bone morrow was 5 (huge portion) bones of mostly fat. Not as good as ive had elsewhere. The lobster accompaniment tasted great but it was certainly smaller than expected- in fact, it was about as much lobster as you get at GR fish&chips restaurant for ~$20 with shrimp, fries and a drink, but the item alone was $38 here. They no longer have the crab cakes on the menu (January 2020), but have other good options. Complimentary focaccia and baguette bread (a couple small slices of each, with salted butter- very good). And the sticky toffee pudding is delicious (duh). The service was perfect. We were originally sat upstairs where all of the heat from the open kitchen goes. It was too warm up there for me to be comfortable at all. They were understanding, moved us downstairs were its much cooler, and that made things much better. If you don't like being hot, ask to sit downstairs, or ask to sit upstairs if you hate being cold. Some of their 2 person tables downstairs are sat side-by-side with neighboring tables, so if you end up there you will see/hear the other tables that are 2 feet away and be seen/heard by them throughout your meal. There are other spots available- you might want to ask for them if you're looking for a quiet/private dinner.
This is a great restaurant, though not perfect. The steak quality is top notch and ours was cooked exceptionally well. I'm sure we will be back if we're ever back in vegas.
