I am writing this review as a surgeon with 25 years experience and the chief of my department at a major Northeastern hospital system. From my initial virtual consult thru discharge (and an evening phone call to check on me) this team has been off the charts. Their method of identification of functioning glands using the gamma probe far surpasses the "Miami" criteria: it's difficult logistically to pull off, that's why no one else does it. Though I had osteopenia, my symptoms were mild and some advised me to 'sit tight'. 24 hours later, my erratic heartbeats from episodic hypercalcemia are virtually gone. This is a life changer. I feel so very grateful in particular to Doug Politz, Jose Lopez and Jamie Mitchell. You can tell by the way these guys pal around at the nurses station they are brothers, good buddies, and philosophically aligned. I have rarely seen a paramedical team as cohesive, energetic and welcoming...starting with Sue at the front desk, Leo and Beth, Vincent in radiology, Micky my transport buddy among others.
