The hotel is really beautiful and the staff were very nice. There is a big space in the lobby to sit around and watch TV. The location is not ideal since there is basically nothing to do around (just a few restaurants) so you would've have to take a bus/taxi or walk over 15 minutes to where the fun is.

The wifi connectivity was pretty good and available all over the hotel without having to re-connect constantly or change passwords depending on your floor, which is something I really appreciate.

Just one note, when we visited The Melrose in July it was really really hot outside but, still, we were cold at nights even though our air conditioning was turned off. The reason why this happened was because the air conditioning in the lobby and the hallway was INSANELY cold, and it would get inside our rooms. By the second night, we learned to leave the window open so that hot air could come inside and balance the temperature.

Don't forget to grab a sweater if you're going to the restaurant...
