We ate here just a couple of nights ago while visiting Vegas for our anniversary and her birthday. I spent some time reading some of the reviews and am actually a little shocked at the lack of good reviews and people's experiences. It appears the restaurant has taken a little bit of a step back in the past year as this is where most of the poor reviews have been coming in. We made reservations only about 3 weeks in advance and had no issues. We arrived about 5 minutes after our scheduled reservation and were taken right back to our seat. The seating arrangement was a little disappointing as we did face the corner where the kitchen staff go in and out and we could see the chefs slaving away.

We were by ourselves, but ordered two appetizers, two entrees, two sides and dessert. For our appetizers we got a lobster dish and the pork belly. I saw another review that said it was undercooked. For me, I preferred it slightly that way, but it was perfectly cooked and the flavor was excellent. We both loved the lobster as well, although it was a rather small tail, maybe four bites worth in all. Main entrees were also very good. I got an American filet and she got the Beef Wellington. For it being a signature dish the BW left a little something to be desired, but my American Filet was the best steak i've ever had. I am often frustrated at restaurants when I order my steak medium or medium rare and the steak is overcooked and brought to you medium well or well done. My steak was cooked perfectly medium and the flavors and seasonings were spot on. Enough to flavor the meat without overpowering the meat itself. Both dishes were tender and melt-in-your-mouth.

Perhaps the best part of the meal was the sticky cake and brown butter ice cream. It was a playful dish where the ice cream came in the shape of a stick of butter. It was the perfect ending to a great meal.

Our server John and his assistant Mike were fantastic. We never had to wait to receive our next course, never had an empty glass, and they visited our table often enough we knew they were attentive, but never so often as to be an annoyance. The only thing we were a little bummed about was not meeting Gordan as we heard from Mike that he was in the restaurant greeting guests briefly only the night before.
