The recent advertising push caught our eye, so as vegan food fans we booked a table.
The entrance hall with its flower wall, neon lit sign, desk and green coloured walls is very cool. Following the stairs up to the small restaurant we were greeted by a very magical fairy lights lit tree in the centre of the room.
Everything about the Venue built our anticipation of the foodie delights to follow.
We ordered a couple of the Mushroom and tarragon pies and a child's pizza. As the pie didn't include anything else, a portion of winter vegetables was ordered as well.
As the food was placed in front of us my first thought was how disappointing the plate looked with just a small, albeit attractive pie on it, more surprising was how bland the mushroom and tarragon filling tasted. The seemingly wide variety of mushrooms just didn't add up to any sort of flavour and the tarragon wasn't noticeable unfortunately.
The service was good and the venue magical but unfortunately the overpriced bland food definitely didn't justify the hype, what a real shame.
