We spent our honeymoon there and booked months in ...

We spent our honeymoon there and booked months in advance. Being Disney passholders, we had certain expectations and also knew there would be a lot of kids. Arrival and check in was easy. We were greeted with leis and our room was ready. We asked for an upgrade but the hotel was booked 95%, so we kept our partial ocean view room. The room was just as expected, with a great view on the ninth floor of the north side of the Ko'Olani resort area. The only room issue we had was the shower was hard to turn off (it would drip...) and a call to maintenance seemed to fix it. Housekeeping cleaned our room later in the days usually, but we were also at the end of the hall. The resort is beautiful and is very Disney. Even the elevator music was cool. It was Disney songs sung in Hawaiian. We had no issues getting dinner at any of the restaurants but we also ate off property across the street as well. The resort is definitely geared for families, but there are also adult only pools and hot tubs. One issue we had was with the off property booking of tours and events. We were given a different impression for the Pearl Harbor Memorial tour and were very dissatisfied with that. We ended getting half off on the tour, returned to us. Also, the Paradise Cove Luau was not really that good. Too many bugs.. Bugs everywhere. They know it and have bug zappers all over the property. Go to the one at the Polynesian Cultural Center instead. We also had a couples day at the spa, which was totally awesome. Once you book a procedure, you have full access to the spa for the day of the procedure. Totally worth it. Yes, things are expensive there, but everything is in Hawaii and especially at Disney, but the food there was good. We also had a daily meal plan at the Ulu Ulu Cafe and it was a good deal.
