Graham Rogers Review of The National Gallery

Confused layout, poor directions, and it all looks the same. Having been to Chicago, there are lessons to be learnt by this London gallery; go to the US. Too many people in the gallery were lost and looking, without any guidance. It is an out of date experience. Sad, there is real potential.
Then we think of the art. For those without technology, an English only description at the side of the picture/painting, in an international venue makes little sense. Surely four are needed, English, Spanish, Mandarin, French? More than four?
Why are the rooms so poorly signed.
Why are there so few of the masters, why only two Leonardo, a few van Gogh, and where are the modern masters?
Disappointing.
