Deanna Review of O'Bleness Health System
I was in ICU wouldn't let me get out of bed becaus...
I was in ICU wouldn't let me get out of bed because I had a chest tube, said if I pulled it out it'd be bad I'm assuming that meant death idk. Then after a week they sent me home remember I couldn't be out of bed or moved out of ICU but sent home?
With the chest tube still inserted the Dr put a surgical glove on the end with a rubber band to catch the yuck & gave me gloves to change them it had to have a slice in the glove so it wouldn't bust open so it didn't work all that yuck got all over me, my clothes, bedding you get it everything. They didn't have a proper piece on the end to cap it off they couldn't find anything when they put it in. After being home two days my lung became so infected I had a temp of 104.7 returned to the ER and they couldn't get the temp down. They were going to admit me and I said no your not send me to another hospital I was immediately transferred to Riverside and received excellent care they were successful in getting my temp down I was pretty out of it but I think I was there 7-10 days. Riverside didn't let me out of bed either and I'm not so sure there the greatest hospital but I lived and I think if I had stayed at Obleness I may not have. Also when the chest tube was inserted something went wrong they said it was called reexpansion pulmonary edema and was rare, but my heart was the only thing keeping me alive I wasn't getting any oxygen I was awake during the insertion of the chest tube and could see everything until that happened I couldn't see anymore nor talk that's very hard to do when your not breathing I could hear everything everyone has told me your hearing is the last thing to go before you die I could hear the Dr he wanted to insert a ventilator to breathe for me. I was thinking in my head NO I don't want a ventilator and they allowed my friend back into the room just as this happened I didn't know it but she said they were looking at her to say they could vent me and she said I was shaking my head NO she told them look at her she doesn't want it. I heard the Dr saying over & over we need to vent her or we could try bipap maybe bicap don't know if that's the correct name it's a mask over your nose & mouth very tight that feels like a wind tunnel blowing up your nose if it gets loose on your face it blows your cheeks more than sticking your head out a car window at 60 mph I don't know any way to explain how hard it's blowing air. But thank God it worked or I wouldn't be typing this review. Needless to say I will not step one foot in the door of that hospital no matter what they call it Obleness, Ohio health, etc. My friend said as long as I went without oxygen I'm very lucky there's no brain damage neither her nor I have any idea how long this was but it seemed like at least 10 minutes to me I'm sure it wasn't or again no typing from me. Please if you don't just have a cold or need stitched up. I wouldn't even trust them to be able to read an x-ray for a broken bone go to another hospital any hospital!!
