Was very excited about a new career with this company with a linehaul position. But unfortunately it unraveled quickly. They had issues with eld after MULTIPLE attempts to get this situation corrected and no avail. And a hostile dock manager cursing and flipping me off i told him i was not taking the load without the eld working properly and after using paper logs for over 30 days. The law is extremely clear only 8 day out of 30 unless they have a exemption letter from fmcsa which the driver carriers i spoke with safety a couple of times and thought things would get resolved. Until today hr called and told me that I would need to go to a meeting and be wrote up for abandoning equipment BY the person that the complaint was in regards too. I have driven for 17 years and have no tickets or accidents and iam not going to start now drivers need to protect their cdls. Its very disappointing that i sat and watched videos and people talk about safety and they dont even implement their own policy! To me safety is more important then money and when the hr guy says i understand your protecting your cdl but thats not the way we operate, its time to move on.
