The only reason I am giving them two stars is that the in patient care received was fine as well as the discharge, but after that for outpatient care its been a nightmare not only for the patients but for the parents as well. Told multiple times treatment was authorized and was not or treatment was not needed. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Even went back to the facility in person and was told everything was in order. Called insurance and it was not. Called this facility multiple times before anyone had to go to treatment to make sure auth was in place, but always get voice mails and no return calls. Insurance had to get involved as well and same issues always voice mails and no return calls. This facility is hindering the treatment of patients and their care due to lack of communication and/or cooperation with insurance companies. Its like come to outpatient therapy, pray you get an auth and if not good luck paying the huge bill they will send you. Word of advice and I always do this-check with your insurance before attending anything at any facility to protect yourself. We in the meantime are doing that and refusing treatment at this facility if an auth is not in place and have also notified the providers. therapists, etc of this facility of this issue. We are also looking elsewhere for treatment. I have also notified the state as well as I dont think that patients should have to worry about the financial aspects if they are handle properly prior to treatment such as getting an auth in place prior to treatment, the stress due to lack of communication from this facility to the patients and insurance companies, and also the hindering of treatment needed due to these issues and the exhausting means to make sure this facility gets their act together. If your child cannot be an advocate for themselves be one for them, do what you need to do to ensure they are taken care of and get the help they need.
