First, I will start by saying that the hotel has always had a view that was amazing (there were a few cosmetic issues, but that view was to die for). We d been going since it was they Hyatt. My review is basically based off of how management handled things.
However, the manager, Rebecca was emotionless and lacked empathy. Very eerie in her demeanor, and it seemed as if there was a bit of underlying racism. We d paid through one of the third-party sites (which she made ABUNDANTLY clear), brought an issue to her attention, and she was extremely unwelcoming.
We rented the business suite guess it was equivalent to the presidential suite. We did not get what was listed on the website, in the room. She made it seem as if we were lying about what we WERE to get. I printed it out but did not have it on me at the time. I thought we d get what was advertised with no issue. After all, this was the Hilton. Rebecca spoke in a very condescending manner. The employee, Kelsey did try to smooth things over by comping our parking, because I believe she did get the point which was made. We are sure that may have had to go through Rebecca, but Rebecca s face-to-face interaction was particularly scary to say the least her demeanor was something that I cannot describe.
Kelsey had more of a personality than the manager. The manager looks like she knows the bottom line but does not know that the people CONTRIBUTE immensely to making the bottom line happen. She needs to learn people skills. Diversity skills, and how to communicate with people. She is bad for business as it pertains to realizing that the consumer whether they pay via a third-party site (which obviously is needed to sell out rooms, or directly), should be treated equally. There are people who would lie about what the room was to have, but she knew that was listed at one point, and wanted to go back and forth about the listing being updated several months ago. How would I know that was even an issue several months ago if I had not seen it recently? In any event, Hilton needs to ensure their management team knows how to deal with ALL people, or they will lose a lot of business and have to outsource the selling of their rooms to a lot more sites if they keep that up.
