As a teacher of English literature I had hoped to go around the Globe. Unfortunately, I had not booked ahead and so was unable to do so. Be that as it may, the Globe is of course remodelled after the original and not the one during Shakespeare s time.

Still the charm has been retained and for anyone who has any association with Shakespeare or his works, this is a must visit.

We had walked along the Thames from the Westminster Bridge and that walk in itself was wonderful.

So go ahead and visit the Globe.
