The tour of the Gardens starts with an informative short film about the Estate. Then you pick-up your audio player and point it to posts throughout the gardens categorized by colours pertaining to your area of interest: history, architecture, etc. The gardens in May were in full bloom with rhodos, azaleas, camelias and many perennials. There are beautiful vistas reminiscing of Butchart Gardens in British Columbia, Canada, or Versailles, France. We spent a very enjoyable 2 hours touring the different gardens. Really beautiful with the Wicklow Mountains in the background.
