ITC Sonar used to be a top notch hotel in Kolkota. With the new ITC next to Sonar, the quality of service has dramatically fallen. Recently while on a business stay in the hotel I noticed the difference. Breakfast area was a mess. Patrons staying at the hotel had to go thru security after having breakfast. Quality of breakfast has also deteriorated. There was a party going on till late night and when complained to the front desk the response was that they can change my room. Only when threatened to call the cops (it is illegal for loud music after 10.00 PM), did they comply to talk to the guests and lower the volume so that we didn't feel like sleeping in disco. Not only were they inconsiderate but their solution was ridiculous.
