I had the good fortune to visit CERN, while on a long layover at Geneva airport. Even though I had not booked a tour, I just wanted to see what was available, and out was well worth the trip. The Microcosm exhibit is great, with many cool displays and free entry. The science globe across the street also had interactive and video exhibits. Everything is in multiple languages and very accessible. You should come visit, I'll be back for a guided tour for sure!
